    This 8-9 month slow release fertilizer will last up to  9 months.  The actual length of time is somewhat temperature dependent--the hotter the soil the faster the release.
    This means add only once to the soil for the season.  Application can be by either mixing with potting soil for new plantings, or by adding to the surface of existing plants.
