LITTLE WINGY - Ideal - Dick Tracy Comics - Rare! - 1953

Description

This is Little Wingy by Ideal, circa 1953.  She is the little girl in the Dick Tracy Comics.  She stands approx. (13") tall.  Marked on her neck is "CHICAGO TRIBUNE IDEAL DOLL".  She has a vinyl head and hard plastic body.  Very nice and clean condition.  Her original wig is very nice.  Long and full.  Her face is sweet.  Clean with full painted features.  Her eyes are clear and clean and open and close and she has full eyelashes.  Mentioned for accuracy is a small defect in the vinyl to the right of her right eye, as-made.  No other marks.  Her vinyl head was made to glow in the dark, however, over time, this no longer works.  Her body is excellent with no cracks, breaks or distracting marks.  She comes with period well fitting clothing but not original.  Her head is a tad loose.  Little Wingys were all made using a Bonnie Braids body.  As the Bonnie Braids, all Little Wingys heads are a tad loose.  This is a very rare doll, made by Ideal for a very short time.  See accompanying article from the Ideal Doll book.  Thank you.
