CONDITION
. Very light wear as shown, tarnish to clasps, and separation at 1 corner as shown in 8th + 9th photos (when latching closed the left side bulges out a bit; and so when clasping shut some care should be taken to ensure a proper seal ~ not difficult; just requires 10 seconds of your time) ~ but the entire case is still solid and will last another 50+ years when well taken care of.
I believe this is the 1st generation of the #8027 plush case. The main difference is that it does not have the yellow Ludwig badge riveted to the front of the case, and that it opens flat rather than at a 90 degree angle with the side support. It is a bit on the rare side; I've had 2 of these in 20 years of dealing in vintage gear.
