Oval Serving Platter by Paden City Pottery with roses and peonys

Description

This is a beautiful 12" x 9" platter made in the USA in about 1940 by the Paden City Pottery.  It is decorated in two areas with flowers including those of roses, peonies, and several other small ones.  The colors used in the flowers make them appear to be breathtakingly real.  The peonies have yellow, pink and purple which give it a real  looking glow.  The other small flowers brightly use the colors seen in nature, including blues and oranges.  Often the sunshine offers different looks to them.  The handles are slightly sprayed with gold to give it a rich look.
