Rose Point Cambridge 12" 4 Ftd Oval Bowl w/ Ears Handles 3900/65 Elegant Glass

Just unpacked from a box that I packed away some 25-30 years ago comes this stunning bowl in the "Rose Point" pattern.  The "Rose Point" pattern was manufactured by the Cambridge Glass Company of Cambridge, Ohio from 1936-1953.  I identified this pattern in the book "Elegant Glassware of the Depression Era" by Cathy & Gene Florence (copyright 2009, 13th edition).  This pattern is considered "Elegant Depression Glass".  Elegant Depression Glass was sold in better department stores and jewelry stores of that era; it was not given away as premiums like cheaply-manufactured Depression Glass.  This large and stately bowl measures 12 inches across form handle to handle and 10 inches across from edge of bowl to edge of bowl.  The bowl stands about 4 1/4 inches tall with scalloped edges, four small feet, and "ear-shaped" handles on each side.  The condition is EXCELLENT with no chips, no cracks, no discoloration or loss of pattern, and maybe one or two tiny scratches.  One of the nicest pieces I've seen in a long time and a great piece to add to your or someone else's collection.  Please see the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  This stunning bowl has great ART DECO lines and comes in one of the most popular patterns ever offered in Elegant Depression Glass.  You will fall in love with this bowl!!
