Captan is a non-systemic, highly effective man-made fungicide used to control fungal diseases in plants. It can be used in the garden with fruit, vegetable and ornamental plants and indoors with potted plants including bonsai, cactus & succulents. It is applied as a spray.
When an epidemic of fungal disease such as rust. mold or mildew is detected, mix 2 grams of Captan (half a teaspoonful) with one liter of fresh water, stir to dissolve, allow to stand to see if any powder remains (powder will clog the sprayer), and then spray plants until they are evenly moist, no more. A full treatment course is 5 weeks. Use once every week for 5 weeks. Store this product in a cool dry place away from pets and children.
