    Description

This listing is for a single 14.5kWh Tesla Powerpack battery module. We have 8 available.
These modules are brand new and come with the built-in BMS & DC/DC.
In the field these Powerpack batteries would be used for grid backup and fast-charging. 16 of these modules make up a 232kWh Powerpack. In normal operation they run the power through a 900v built-in DC/DC.
We have 8 modules for sale, for a total of 116kWh. These modules each contain a 48V 14.5kWh module made up of 21700 style cells.
The modules are built into extremely tough sealed cases and they are ideal for almost any high capacity application, such as:
    1 module applications include:
    -Golf carts
    -Home solar
    -RV/camping batteries
    3 module applications include:
    -Low voltage EV conversions
    8 module applications include:
-Long range 400v EV conversions (more capacity than any Tesla on the market)
    -Tesla motors
    These low-profile battery modules have
thermal management capabilities and large terminals for very high current capacity.

    FAQ:
    Q:
When running the battery as 48v, what is the min/nominal/max voltage?
    A:
    The voltages are as follows:
Min: 36.0v-39.6v (3.0v-3.3v per cell) Depending on how close to the bottom of the pack you want to go.
    Nominal: 44.4v (3.7v per cell)
    Max: 50.4v (4.2v per cell)
This is the absolute maximum voltage. We recommend charging to 49.8v (4.15v per cell) to give some margin for error. For long battery life it is advisable to keep the battery between 20% and 80% charge most of the time.
    Q:
Does the pack include a BMS and is it proprietary or can it communicate over CAN/RS485?
    A:
The pack does include the built-in BMS/DCDC, but as this is a rare pack we have not yet got communication with it worked out, however we have heard that someone else is communicating successfully with the on-board BMS. This is not an option we can support at this time. The 10th and 11th photo in the listing show the connector that the BMS uses to hook up to the cell taps. Our recommendation is to tap in to this connector and use an external Orion BMS. This way you have the ability to add accessories such as a wifi module to remotely monitor the pack. We have the BMS and accessories in stock.
